Circa 1870s: It is more than safe to say that one quart Greensboro, Pennsylvania, canners with stenciled fruit decorations are among the most coveted SWPA forms, and this 7" cherries jar with the added single freehand cobalt stripe and Greensboro stencil is an incredible find. But for some minor typical nicking around the inside sealer rim, this scarce wax sealer is in as made condition with no other chips, cracks, or repairs and only the usual factory firing anomalies, including a very small stone pop on the face as photographed.
