Rare Sign Language Alphabet Plate

Circa 1899: H. Aynsley & Co Potteries Longston, Staffordshire England

This rare 6 3/8 " plate has a crisp image transfer printed in bright red, with a blue stripe border. The plate feature a rope type border followed by the entire alphabet in the most wonderful typeset. The central image has the alphabet in sign language surrounding a group of folky jointed wooden dolls. This transfer in this bright red color is rarely seen on the market, will be a special abc plate in your collection.

Condition is excellent. Clean and bright with a pearlware glaze. No chips, no cracks, no crazing, no hairlines and no repairs.
