Circa 1814-1830: This 8 1/4" plate depicting the Philadelphia Libray is bordered in rose medallions like all the other pieces produced for John and William Ridgway's famous Beauties of America series, which details some of the American federal period's finest architectural achievements. This lovely dark blue historical Staffordshire plate has no chips, cracks, or repairs and sports a crisp and clear transfer. It is an excellent example sure to please the person who purchases it.
