Folk Art Hand Carved Owl Decoy

Owl decoys are among the rarest decoy forms because they were treated very roughly and left outside year round. This handsome circa 1900-1925 owl decoy comes from a North Carolina collection and retains most of its original painted surface. The old carving is 14" tall, 5" wide, and 4" deep and will make a fine addition to any collection of antique paint decorated decoys.
