8 Cyclones! Superior Contrast!

Circa 1840-1860: One does not often get to see a great early Midwestern cyclone jar decorated with eight cyclones. With its superb contrast, gorgeous ovoid form, and beautifully speckled clay, this absolutely fabulous example of pre Civil War Ohio stoneware jumps right out at the viewer. Condition is spectacular: no chips, cracks, or repairs. There are some lime deposits on the inside of the jar, but we leave this to the next owner because many of our clients prefer their antiques untouched and consider this part of the piece's history. This is a truly gorgeous example of Antique American stoneware, and it will complimentt even the most advanced collections.
