This horse drawn wagon shows the complexity and sophistication of Zimmerman's work. The figural grouping is made from ten pieces of wood and depicts a man and his dog on a leisurely jaunt. We know the pace is less than frantic because the smiling dog is not even following its owner's glance and is staring off in another direction as the horse leads them toward their destination.
