Early Antique Pen and Ink Artists Fraktur Sketch in Tiger Maple Frame
Exquisting calligraphy on this charming artist signed pen and ink
Signed William B. Dice. It's great to see these talented early American folk artists' pieces survive. Wonderful stylized strokes in indigo ink form an almost smiling peacock with brown ink highlights on his tail. Skilled strokes decorate a tree, a flower, a twister, and a grand peacock. The tiger maple frame adds a lovely touch.
Drawing measures 6 x 7 1/2" (9" x 10 1/2" framed)
