Early Redware Spaniel Dog in Doghouse Humidor

The six color polychromatic paint decoration on this charming late 19th century tobacco humnidor gives it superb visual appeal. Measuring 6 1/2" tall, 5 1/2" wide, and 8 1/4" deep and stamped 1340 on its underside, this uncommon dog in doghouse figural redware humidor is finely detailed and is in excellent condition. Wonderful details are found in the spaniels face, with well executed flourishes of reds, yellow, white and black, all of which bring delightful expression to this lovely classic spaniel.
