A folk art oil on board painting of the columba palumbus (wood pigeon), a member of the dove and pigeon families. A wood frame has been applied to the outer edges. Two holes near the top lead me to believe that this was a sign hung for an exhibit or a naturalist passion. Circa first quarter 20th century. Measures 17 1/2 inches x 28 inches
